About Ballard Cares

Many of us are so fortunate to have our needs met on a daily basis, but now is the time for us to come together to ensure that everyone in the Ballard High School community knows that Ballard Cares!

Ballard Cares is a partnership between the Ballard High School Foundation, the Ballard High School PTSA & Ballard High School in support of BHS community members impacted by the COVID-19 crisis

We are facing a crisis like we have never seen before, and Ballard High School are highly impacted by it. With this effort, we aim to to help as many affected Ballard High School community families as we can

There are many people in our community that were struggling before the outbreak of COVID-19 and their lives have now become even more difficult. In addition, the financial challenges that have beset much of the world have also had a substantial impact on many more Ballard families. Members of our community have lost jobs, had to close businesses, gotten sick, had family members move home and even had loved ones pass away. We love that Ballard is a community that comes together to support each other and when one of us is impacted, it impacts us all

Ballard Cares aims to provide monthly assistance for food and basic needs for families in crisis. Additionally, it will allow Ballard High School Principal Keven Wynkoop to meet the emergent needs of families in our community that are struggling with the impacts of the pandemic. This includes items like clothing and gasoline, but could also include a printer to allow for digital learning, rental assistance and more

Any amount will help!
